Duluth Pics

Here are a few (ok- a lot) snap shots from our trip to Duluth.

It all started with jumping on the hotel bed (since we can't jump on our own beds)

Getting ready for bed after our first night of swimming.

Having fun at the Depot Childrens Museum.
It didn't take long for Jaden to find the Knight gear!
Daddy ruling over all!
The crazy family chillin by the Castle.
The Prince and Princess with their Royal Horses.
The Evil Sorcerer.

Everyone had their chance at the throne!

This is a CHILDRENS museum Ken! (I think he was having more fun than anyone)

Then we made our way to the trains. Eli would have been in heaven.

Relaxing on one of the many trains we toured.
Next stop... a tour of one of the ships. And we have our pilot and co-pilot at the wheel. Yikes!
Just hanging out outside the ship waiting for dad to quit talking to someone.
Hey look mom, I can climb the rope with no hands.....
......maybe not.
Here Jaden, let me show you how it's done!
Getting ready to call it night again. They are so dang cute!
Having lots of WaterPark fun.
Warming up in the hot tub.
Heading down the lazy river with dad leading the way.
It's a tube train!
And our last destination before going home... A pizza cruise on the Vista Fleet.
They both enjoyed the bridge going up so we could go under it.

Daddy enjoyed it too. Happy Fathers Day Dad!

Thankful Thursday

This Thursday I am thankful for having such an awsome God who totally suprises me and answers my prayers, even when I don't always deserve it! Thank you God.

As some of you may or may not have heard.....I got a new job!!! Starting in July I will be working at Cambridge Medical Center on their Medical/Pediatric unit. I am so excited!!! For those of you not familiar with Cambridge, this hospital is only a half mile up the road from our house. How fun, I will be able to walk or ride my bike to work! This job is perfect for our family right now. I will be able to work less, make more, and save the gas money driving 60 miles round trip to work everyday.

Thank you to all of you out there that have been praying for me also. He heard you!

I serve an amazing God, and now I will be able to serve MY community through He who strengthens me.

Place Your Healing Touch In My Hands~Unknown Author
Help me as I care
for my patients today,
Be there with me,
O Lord, I pray
Make my words kind
--it means so much--
And in my hands place
Your healing touch
Let your love shine
through all that I do,
So those in need
may hear and feel You.

~AMEN

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for.............Family.

My amazing, wonderful, sometimes messy, mostly lovable, always loud family! I love em to pieces!

Each person has revealed a new piece of my heart I didn't know existed.

Jaden started it all of course because he was the 1st addition to my family. He unlocked this special place of love in my heart I had no idea I was capable of. My precious son. Because of Jaden coming into my life, I was finally able to see and believe Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Jaden means "God has heard". I guess he does.

Ken was next line. He swept me right off my feet and showed me this ability to be spontaneous, fun, and enjoy life. He has opened an area of compassion, forgiveness, and hope in my heart that I hadn't had before. Because of him I now know what it is like to truely love unconditionally and the commitment that means.

KyLee, my little girl. She has shown me how to be tender hearted and appreciative of everything. She is so sensitive and always wants to please others whole heartedly. She has also brought out the ability for me to love a child that is not of my own flesh and blood. That, is a true love.

And my baby, my Eli. He has taught me patience and the ability to find humor in life and situations. He is so funny and full of life like his daddy. His personality just makes me burst inside of happiness. He is so precious and adorable. I pray that I someday will love as he loves already at the age of 2. I get tears of joy when I see him folding his hands to pray. Even as a newborn he lay with his hands folded so much of the time. Elijah means "Spiritual Champion", and that he is.

Yes, today, this Thursday, I am thankful for family, my family, my little Carlson Clan. They each are so special and precious to me. I love you babies, each and every one of you. You are my life, my joy, my peace.

Thank you God that you would bless such an unworthy person, with such an amazing gift! You are awsome.

Play-Doh Fun

Welcome to the Play-Doh Factory!! A fun "almost rainy day" indoor activity where everyone has fun making a mess, and no one has fun cleaning the mess!

Home to Doh-Butterfly's........ By artist Jaden Paul

and Colorful Doh-Pound Cakes........by Chef Eli

and Pink Doh-Party Cakes....... by our neighbor girl Sage

and 3 tier Doh-birthday cakes.......by yours truely!

Oh yes, we had fun at the Play-Doh factory.........until clean up time that is!

Second time around

OK, I have another prayer request. I have another interview scheduled for Wed. the 4th at 3pm with the Nurse Manager of the Medical/Pediatric unit at Cambridge Medical Center. Please pray again that everything goes smoothly, and that I don't say something stupid!

Thanks everyone!

Feelin the Heat

What a great, sunny weekend. We went on the boat with a friend of ours on Saturday and had a ton-o-fun. We grabbed everything except the SUNSCREEN! Now you would think that since I am a red head with WHITE, WHITE skin who obviously burns easily, I would grab the sunscreen right? WRONG.

My poor children and me are suffering from our first sunburn of the season. Eli and me have it bad on our arms, Eli on his cheeks and ears too. Jaden on the other hand seemed to recover rather quickly, by this morning I couldn't really even see any red in his face any more.

I won't make that mistake again this summer! Bad mommy...bad!
